Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
